To promote the development of an information market and encourage the development of smart services, the City of Stockholm has created an action plan to open up the City of Stockholm’s data sources - Open Stockholm.
Public information should not just be used by the authorities themselves, but also of businesses and individuals. This is governed by the PSI Directive and the Inspire directive from the EU, which has also been incorporated into Swedish law. This means that the public data collected and stored by authorities in electronic form should also be made available to businesses and individuals so that it can be reused. The data the City of Stockholm has made available as open can be found in the data portal. See link to the right.
